Colleen Millen (she/her): I am blessed to be inspired by two careers – yoga teaching and therapy. In both, I organize around values of consent, agency, inclusivity and accessibility. Through the past 20-years of practice, it is in experiences teaching yoga for emotional health that I truly feel in service. Continually inspired by the intersection of yoga and psychology, I created a 7-week yoga for depression class series and continue to present workshops and trainings on trauma-informed yoga. A more recent movement in my career has come through training to become a certified Accessible Yoga Teacher. As a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California (#109436), I lead mindfulness groups for teens and help teens and adults around issues that relate to anxiety, depression and developmental trauma. I am a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) instructor and certified Neuro-Affective Relation Model (NARM) therapist.
